I am proud to announce that my sister, Priscilla, and I have released a new CD of "The Diffie Sisters" entitled "Together Forever." Thanks to the genius of Priscilla's husband Mickey who produced and created the video to go along with one of the songs on the CD, entitled "Fountain of Youth," the video projects the nature of the song which is upbeat, humorous and heart-warming. The video is filled with unexpected effects, and it is certain to leave you feeling warmer and happier and younger. The video will be released shortly after Christmas on YouTube, so keep your eyes and ears open for it!
Well folks, once again I walked away with 1st Runner Up in the Ms Senior Oklahoma of America Pageant. I was disappointed that I didn't win, but it was enjoyable and I met a lot of nice people.
Once again, I have decided to enter The Ms Senior Oklahoma of America Pageant. I was 1st runner up last year, and after much consideration and thought, I decided to enter again. It will be held Saturday, July 13th from 2pm to 5pm at the Rose State College Performing Arts Center in Midwest City, OK. It's getting close and I'm getting anxious. I would really love to see you there. I plan on doing my Lady Elvis routine this year. I have my formal and singing outfit all ready. Have to give a 35 second philosophy of life, and believe me, I've been practicing what I want to say. Wish me luck!!
Hey everyone, I've decided to enter the Ms Senior Oklahoma of America again this year. I was 1st Runner Up last year and thought I'd give it one more try. It's going to be held at the Rose State College in MidWest City, Oklahoma again on July 13th. The show starts at 2:00 pm and would love to see a bunch of my fans in the audience.
The Dawn Anita Gift of Life Video is now on YouTube, and it is also on my site. Just go to the video. Watch it, share it and pass it on. This song and video has a powerful message about the joy of living while emphasizing how important it is to become an organ donor.
Release date for video and song "Gift of Life". Be sure and watch for it!! Upbeat song about the benefits of organ donation.
I'm very excited about the upcoming release of my new song "Gift of Life" which was an inspiration from my mother who had written a song called "I'm So Glad I'm Alive", and it keeps her memory alive, but it also is a song that I wrote specifically to let people become aware of the need for organ donors. My cousin-in-law, Bob Aronson, who has a blog at www.bobsnewheart.wordpress.com also inspired me to write this song, and we are presently working on a video that will be released with the song. BE SURE AND LOOK FOR IT!
I wish I could've brought home the Big Trophy, but I was proud to at least be the First Runner Up. Had a great time, met a lot of nice people, and so many people came up to me saying "you are the real winner" which, of course, made me feel great.
The Ms Senior America of Oklahoma Pageant will be held Saturday, July 14th from 2pm to 5pm at the Rose State College Performing Arts Center in Midwest City, OK, and I'm getting excited and nervous at the same time. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and participating. I plan to sing one of the songs on my gospel album written by Vince Gill entitled "Go Rest High on That Mountain", and I have my formal and singing outfit all ready. Have to give a 35 second philosophy of life, and believe me, I've been practicing what I want to say. Wish me luck!!
Hooray! My new album is finally completed and ready to go. Check it out on my sales page. I'm sure you'll find a song or two you just can't live without. Would love to hear your thoughts on my new album.
Well, folks, we are officially into the New Year, and since this is an election year, we are going to be hearing a lot about politics, but one thing is for sure, we need a new President. I'm fearful for this country if we don't make a change. Okay, back to music. I still don't have my new album ready but it is getting closer. I think we may be able to wrap it up around the end of this month. I'll keep you posted on the progress. In the meantime, keep checking and listening.....and make it country!
Hey, everybody. Christmas is almost here, and it's a "love/hate" relationship for me. I love the Christmas lights, Christmas songs, and especially the reason we celebrate the season, getting together with family for a big Christmas dinner, eating too much and then watching the little ones open their presents, but the part that is frustrating is trying to figure out what to get for everyone, wondering if your funds will stretch far enough and trying to get it all done before Christmas day. Somehow it all seems to work out every year. I hope that each and everyone of you will have a wonderful and joyful Christmas and that the New Year brings you all that you wish for........and try not to make too many New Year's Resolutions that you can't keep!!
There's a great site for artists called ReverbNation, and I am a proud member. I am a fan of many of these artists, and I have been receiving some great feedback from a lot of my fellow artists, and I'm glad to be a member of this organization. Check it out. You might find someone you really love. My page is: www.reverbnation.com/dawnanitasmusic.
Hey folks, I hope that everybody is able to be with at least part of their family, and that you have many things to be thankful for. I must tell you, I am truly blessed. I have a wonderful family, and most of us will be together this Thanksgiving. Our daughter is coming up from Texas, and we've got some great food planned and we plan on having some great fun together.
I'm afraid I haven't been as active in social networking as I should be, but I'm happy to announce that I am in the process of building a new Facebook page just for my music, and as soon as it's up and running, I will add a link to it so you can see what's going. I hope you'll join me there and "like" some of my messages. I'm anxious to see how that works.
I'm excited about bringing some of my tunes I've recorded in the past out of the archives and releasing a new CD. Some of the older technology has to be converted to new technology, but I have hired the perfect person to complete this project for me....Mr. Tom Smith of Tom Smith Music in Dallas, Texas. I have worked with him on many projects in the past, and he is the best. So stay tuned, because more music is on its way. I'll share it on Facebook and Twitter and hopefully, that will catch most of my music fans. In the meantime, keep playing music, it's the universal language.
